ACCESS TO TECHNOLOGY
1:1 Device-to-Learner Ratio
By providing devices to every learner, The Grove has achieved a 1:1 device-to-learner ratio, the only government primary school to do so. This access allows technology to be seamlessly integrated across all teaching areas. iPads are used in Grades 1 and 2, while Grade 3 students use both iPads and Chromebooks. Each Grade 4 student receives a Chromebook, which they will use until the end of Grade 7.
Google Account
Every learner has their own Grove Google account which IT administration staff are able to manage and control. This also allows quick and easy sharing of documents with other children and teachers.
Google Classroom
Google Classroom allow teachers to set online tasks and enable monitoring of where and when they are being completed. Teachers can mark and comment on these online.
Coding at The Grove
At The Grove, we recognize the importance of coding in today's digital world. While coding is not officially integrated into the curriculum or part of the academic report card, our dedicated teachers still provide coding instruction. This initiative highlights our commitment to equipping students with essential skills for the future, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and logical thinking.
