Working Together

At The Grove teachers and parents regularly work together, pooling their talents, resources and expertise to maximise the potential for quality educationĀ in an inspirational environment.

Numerous committees are involved in the day to day running of the school, as well as its planning and development. As a direct result, we are able to maintain an outstanding library and computer network, to continually improve our grounds and buildings, and to assist teachers in classwork, administration and sport. The Parents’ Forum meets each term to discuss any concerns arising from the parental body or the various committees in which parents are involved, and all committees work under the elected Board of Governors.

Grade 7 pupils belong to various voluntary committees which help to run all school affairs relating to the pupil body. The committees are Art, Chess, Computers, Environment, First Aid, Mediators, Hall, Junior Primary, Senior Primary, Library, Music, Technology, Sport and Tuckshop. Representatives from each of these committees serve on a Student Representative Council (SRC) which meets with parent class representatives each term.
